Project Description: Qualifications submittals are hereby solicited from qualified construction commissioning professionals and firms to provide commissioning services throughout the construction of the Jeff & Judy Henley Hall – Institute for Energy Efficiency Project (“Project”).
To date, Sindoni Consulting & Management Services, Inc. has provided LEED fundamental commissioning scope, including development of project requirements, basis of design review, draft commissioning plan, and the incorporation of Commissioning requirements into the Construction Documents.
The Project consists of an approximately 50,000 gross square foot, 3-story Type IIB building housing A-3, B, & S-2 Occupancies. The primary structure consists of a mat foundation system, poured in place concrete walls, post tensioned ‘decks’ at upper floors in the easterly wing, and structural steel. The westerly portion of Henley Hall will house thirteen dry labs and four wet labs, as well as the elevator, restrooms, janitorial rooms, main electrical rooms, and data/communications distribution rooms for the building at-large. The easterly portion of the building will consist of a lecture hall, open-air lobby and atrium, lounges, administrative offices, group offices, small break out areas, and seminar rooms.
Estimated Construction Cost: The construction budget is approximately $48,000,000. The planned date for completion of construction is Spring 2020.
Scope of Services: Commissioning Agent will perform building systems commissioning as required by California Title 24, Part 6 and Fundamental Commissioning Requirements of LEED Reference Guide for Green Building Design and Construction, 2009 Edition. The following is a summary of anticipated scope for the Commissioning Agent during the Construction Phase, including verifying installation of commissioned systems, functional performance testing, training, systems manual / operations and maintenance manual review, provide final Commissioning report, and post occupancy system performance review, and attend meetings.
