Project Summary: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to remove approximately sixty-four linear feet (64 LF) of concrete slab brow by approximately twelve inches (12”) at each five (floors) of the Biology II Building at the northeast corner of the building, in addition to making other repairs along the brows and adjacent surfaces. All work shall be performed from the exterior of the building during normal working hours.

Estimated Construction Cost: $404,000

Base Qualification Questionnaire (“BQQ”): For construction work valued between $300,000 and $640,000, each Bidder AND its mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractor(s) (if any) must be qualified under the University’s standards prior to award. See Supplementary Instructions to Bidders in the Construction Documents for additional information.

General Project Information: Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Bid shall accompany each Bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120).

The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a Bid for this project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
