Project Description: Statements of Qualifications submittals are hereby solicited by the University of California, Santa Barbara (“University”) from design professionals and firms with relevant experience and expertise in providing the services described herein. The selected consultant will provide design services associated with the Artificial Flume at Devereux, Bldg. 7950 project (“Project”), as more fully described in this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM200127.
The Project includes the renovation of the existing “butler” building 7950 (3,800 SF) located in the West Campus area of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and work to accommodate a state-of-the-art 15 meter artificial flume with capability to recirculate water and sediment. The Project includes interior improvements, a single occupancy restroom, a new office, added plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire alarm systems, modifications to the site for ADA compliance, and new exterior fencing. The building occupancy will change from S to B.
Estimated Construction Cost: The overall construction budget is approximately $763,336.
Scope of Services: PMSM (now 19Six Architects, Inc.) provided initial design services for the Project, and has completed 30% Construction Documents for the Project. Under the terms of this RFQ, the firm selected under the terms of this RFQ will be asked to complete the work developed by 19Six Architects to date, including the completion of 100% Construction Documents, bid support, and construction administration services. The anticipated value of the services described above is approximately $50,000. Note, 19Six Architects will likely be among the design firms competing for this work.
