Introduction & Background: The University of California, Santa Barbara (“University”) requests a written response to Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM250246 from qualified consultant firms in the area of design phase commissioning services and construction commissioning of major disciplines for the UCSB East Campus Student Housing project. At a minimum, interested firms should have expertise in analytics-driven commissioning in HVAC, lighting and plumbing systems. Interested firms will be required to have prior work history on UC residential housing developments, or equivalent.

The successful Consultant will suggest proven strategies with a problem-solving approach and unwavering commitment to design and construction efficiencies, and provide dedicated resources, construction expertise, serving as the commissioning authority for design phase commissioning reviews on the project and subsequent construction commissioning services support.  The selected Consultant’s services will likely extend throughout the warranty period to ensure the building achieves the design intent in actual operations.

Equal Opportunity Statement: Each candidate firm will be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons shall have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University, regardless of: race; color; religion; sex; age; ancestry; national origin; sexual orientation; physical or mental disability; veteran's status; medical condition; genetic information; marital status; gender identity; pregnancy; service in the uniformed services; or citizenship within the limits imposed by law or University's policy.
