DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to remove an existing boiler and provide a new replacement boiler(s) for the UCSB Event Center building, which is located on the UCSB campus and is approximately 46,000 Gross Square Feet in size. The building houses locker rooms, meeting spaces, basketball courts and some offices.
The work shall include but not be limited to the following: Remove and replace existing 1978 Cleaver Brooks 2.9MMBTUH capacity boiler and associated piping and accessories per the Contract Documents. Demolish the existing boiler’s flue back to the specified point of disconnect at building exterior. Provide two (2) new Parker Hot Water boilers, or approved equal, and Type B flue system. Boilers shall be provided with all water and gas piping and accessories as needed for a fully functioning hot water system. Provide new DDC control system including programming, wiring and hardware for the building hydronic hot water system per the Contract Documents.
ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $460,000
LICENSE REQUIREMENT: B- (General Building Contractor)

No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
