Description of of Work: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance and services to renovate the Marine Ecology Laboratory, Rooms 1165 through 1175, and Fly Lab 3154 and 3144, located in Biological Sciences II Building 571 including, but not limited to, selective demolition, wall partitions, doors, windows, window walls, lab equipment, benches, tables, cabinets, casework, shelving, interior finishes, painting, flooring, mechanical, plumbing, data/comm., electrical and lighting, as described in the Construction Documents.

General Project Information: Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the Lump Sum Base Bid shall accompany each Bid. The Surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120).

No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a Bid for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
