Project Description: Statements of Qualifications submittals are hereby solicited by University from qualified professionals and firms with relevant experience and expertise in providing fire protection and life safety consulting services including but not limited to: architectural plan and specification review; conformance to and compliance with fire and life safety codes; and other consulting services regarding fire protection and life safety, on an as-needed basis, as described more fully in Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM200346.
All Work performed by the Selected consultant(s) shall meet State, Federal and local regulations and standards pertaining to fire and life safety, including, without limitation, Titles 8, 19, and 24 of the California Code of Regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, and the California Health and Safety Code. Consultants will be required to utilize qualified, licensed sub-consultants (“Sub-Consultant(s)”) of their own choosing to provide Services awarded by the University under this RFQ. The actual Sub-Consultants to be used are to be identified to the University at the time that project-specific work authorizations are solicited from the selected consultant(s), and not in response to this RFQ.
Selected consultant(s) are not promised any minimum commitment of work by the University. The University may, at its sole discretion, select and enter into an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity agreement with up to four different qualified consultant firms. Project services will be awarded to the selected firms based upon availability, workload, capacity, demonstrated expertise/experience, the relevant scope, scheduling issues, etc.
SOQ Deadline & Delivery Instructions: Interested firms shall provide one (1) digital copy (.pdf) of its SOQ submittal, as outlined in section III.B of the RFQ by 4:00 p.m. on April 10, 2020.
