Description of Work: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services for phased selective demolition, replacement of 4,805 square feet of PVC roofing, and new mechanical packaged HVAC units, including all supporting utilities not limited to new roof curbs for existing HVAC units, electrical and plumbing. Contractor will also be required to install new and modify exhaust fans for continued building usage during construction, include temporary supply air with rental vendor and building connections and components supports. Bid alternates will be used for several scope items, as specified in the Construction Documents.
Estimated Construction Cost: $875,000

Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted BOTH in person AND electronically by University staff via Zoom. Meeting attendees may schedule a subsequent, in-person job walk with the University Representative, upon request. Further details will be provided to contractors in the Construction Documents. Only bidders who participate in the virtual or in-person Pre-Bid Conference will be permitted to bid on the Project as a prime bidder.

The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a Bid for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
The successful Bidder and its Subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Construction Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the Work.
