Description of Work: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, permits, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to replace and modernize two (2) University main library elevator systems including, but not limited to controllers, motors and cab interiors, as described in the Construction Documents. New gearless traction mechanical equipment shall be coordinated with joint support for the University’s interface with electrical, electronic access, fire life safety and the associated testing. Overtime or weekend hours will be required for the hall station replacements and other key elements where elevators will be out of service.

License Requirement(s): C-11 (Elevator Contractor)

Estimated Construction Cost: $800,000

Pre-Bid Conference: A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk will be conducted BOTH in person AND electronically via Zoom on April 22, 2021 beginning promptly at 1:30 PM. Participants shall meet either:

The successful Bidder and its Subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Construction Documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the Work.
